If you love taking a designer's prototype and turning it into a living, breathing website that's pushed beyond where the designer thought it could go, if you are a CSS ninja, if you can wrestle your code into multiple browsers and mobile devices, if you can extend a JavaScript framework, if you're in front of the latest trends across the web, you could be the rock star we're looking for.

You will be reporting to the creative director, and working as an equal team member with designers, programmers and account staff.

What you'll be doing:

• Building Javascript/Ajax functionality (jQuery and/or scriptaculous/Prototype experience a major plus)
• Building and maintaining sites and web applications using XHTML and CSS
• Building and coding beyond the browser including mobile/SMS and tactile devices
• Setting, driving and continuously raising the bar for company's toolset and frontend technical direction

What you'll need:

• Expert knowledge of XHTML/CSS (hand coding)
• Expert knowledge of web standards, accessibility requirements, validation
• Strong knowledge of Javascript
• Strong knowledge of Photoshop
• Familiarity with Linux servers, apache
• Experience creating Ajax-driven applications is a major plus
• Understanding of ActionScript is a plus
• Experience in a many-client environment
• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience are required
• Self-motivation, continuous learning orientation
• Excellent verbal skills
• Ability to take a project from prototype to launch

Major pluses:

• Knowledge of Actionscript
• Experience with / building PHP applications
• Experience with / building Ruby on rails
• Experience with open source CMS systems, blogs and other social media software applications
